Wall art provides the final touches and is a personal choice for consumers.

According to Edward Nader, interior designer, product developer, art dealer and co-owner of Nader’s Gallery with his sister, in Shreveport, La., mixing art mediums and styles can elevate a space.

“People don’t want everything to match but they do want it to work well together,” he said. Whether prints, canvases or sculptural, Nader likes to combine art pieces for visual interest, mixing mediums, styles and sizes that evoke different emotions and reflect client preferences and budgets.

Giclée prints and other printing mediums have upped the quality of framed home décor art, keeping it attainable at the same time. According to Nader, abstract design is timeless and can add unique style to a space, whether paired with more traditional art or other abstract piece. — Diane Falvey
