The Annie Selke rug guide explained that all 5′ x 8′ rugs and smaller can be washed in a machine. For best results, they suggest using a standard 4.2+ cu ft. washing machine. For rugs that are 6′ x 9′ or larger, they recommend spot cleaning or washing in an extra-large capacity washing machine.

Rugs USA has unveiled a new collection with interior designer and author Nate Berkus.
“This collection started with me doing a ton of research — looking through almost every motif for fabric design, antique rugs, Chinese Art Deco rugs, and European rugs from the 1930s and 1940s,” Berkus said.
“We specifically created rugs that will make interiors feel layered and assembled over time, rugs that are simple and easy to design around.”
The collection includes both plush statement pieces and machine-washable designs, and features natural wool as the hero material, a fiber known for its durability, softness underfoot and refined, matte texture. Berkus also wanted to break the stigma around washables, offering an assortment with an approachable price point while retaining an elevated aesthetic.
“We are thrilled to partner with Nate Berkus on his first-ever exclusive rug collection,” said Koorosh Yaraghi, CEO of Rugs USA. “Nate’s design philosophy: timeless, layered, and livable, aligns perfectly with our mission to make high-quality, beautiful rugs accessible to everyone. This collaboration offers customers an opportunity to bring a designer’s touch into their homes without compromising on comfort, durability or value.”

With 16 styles available across multiple price points, the collection embodies Rugs USA’s mission to deliver designer style that fits real homes and everyday life.
“The great part about this collection is that you don’t have to sacrifice style for durability,” Berkus added. “Thick enough and plush enough, but handsome enough that nothing about it looks inexpensive.”
