GOSHEN, Ind. —Fusion Designs, a domestic producer of Amish-made solid wood furniture, is expanding its occasional category with three new contemporary collections that will debut at next month’s High Point Market.
The Arden, Hudson and Jaxon collections are designed to broaden consumer perceptions of Amish furniture, according to the company.
Allen Bontrager, chief operating officer and lead designer of the new lines, believes that the introductions reflect Fusion Designs‘ focus on delivering fresh product to retailers. “Our goal is to be a product-forward company, and we want retailers to continually look to us to keep their offerings fresh and differentiated,” he said.

Arden takes inspiration from architectural forms, with a console table featuring an arched design intended for entryways or behind sofas. The collection also includes two coffee table options: a 48-inch square piece for larger rooms and a 32-inch version for smaller living spaces such as condos or townhomes.
Hudson emphasizes pedestal-style legs that create visual interest while maintaining functionality. Jaxon, by contrast, offers pared-back silhouettes with round or square end tables that highlight clean lines and modern styling.

All three collections are built from solid wood and are available in any of the company’s wood species. Retailers can also choose from more than 35 hand-wiped finishes and 24 paint options. Suggested retail prices range from $875 to $1,500.
“These new designs are indicative of the journey we’re on, in bedroom and dining, and most recently in solid wood barstools,” said Bontrager. “Category by category, we are contemporizing our product portfolio to attract a new generation of shoppers and appeal to how consumers want to live today, while remaining true to our craftsmanship ideals.”
The company also announced that, moving forward, it will release new products on its website throughout the year rather than tying launches exclusively to trade shows.
“We are continuously building and revising prototypes every week,” Bontrager explained. “We believe having access to new product without having to wait for the next trade show will be a game changer for our customers and for how Fusion Designs is perceived.” Printed and digital look books will accompany the releases.
Founded in 1995, Fusion Designs manufactures built-to-order bedroom, dining, home office and entertainment furniture at its Indiana facility. The company uses domestically sourced hardwoods such as oak, maple, cherry and hickory, and highlights craftsmanship with mortise-and-tenon joinery, soft-close drawers and hand-applied finishes.
