Wall décor has been a strong performer in home accents over the last few years, but like most other product categories, sales in this segment slowed in 2025, according to Home Accents Today estimates.

Wall décor sales tallied approximately $9.83 billion this year, a 0.1% increase over last year’s estimated $9.82 billion, so they were essentially flat.
Sales at the largest channels of distribution for the category — discount department stores and off-price retailers, e-commerce, home accent and gift stores and lifestyle stores — gained less than 1% in revenue, while other channels, such as traditional furniture stores, department stores and lighting showrooms, saw sales decline slightly.
Wall décor, which includes artwork as well as sculptural pieces and other decorative pieces for the wall, accounts for roughly 11.5% of the total home accents business, according to the 2025 Universe Report. Other findings from that report can be found here.
