TORONTO – The results are in for the 2025 Movember Canadian Construction Challenge and Gillam Group president Craig Lesurf has come out on top.
Named the top fundraiser, Lesurf raised $58,069 for the cause and came in fourth place for individual fundraisers in Canada. He has been a Mo Bro for nine years and raised over $300,000 since 2017, a release reads.
The money goes towards supporting men’s mental health, suicide prevention and cancer programs.
The Great Group of Guys & Gals at Gillam (5Gs) came in second in the Canadian Construction Challenge, raising $75,264. Gillam also finished fifth among all Canadian businesses taking part in the challenge, the release adds.
In total, construction teams across Canada raised $1.17 million for men’s health with 1,744 participants from 238 teams taking part in the annual competition.
“I would like to thank everyone who participated and donated to this year’s Movember efforts,” said Lesurf in a statement. “Your contributions truly make a difference. By raising funds, we are moving the needle on supporting men’s mental health, suicide prevention and cancer programs. I’m so proud of the Gillam Team for once again punching above our weight, competing against some of the biggest construction firms in the industry and placing second. That is a remarkable accomplishment.”
