Damien Treanor, managing director of the Irish contracts, facades, technologies, and sustainable solutions group, said, “Our companies have known each other for many years and there is a strong cultural fit, rooted in common family-ownership values, so this deal makes sense for everyone. Woodmarque is a successful business with a strong balance sheet, and we are delighted to welcome them into the Errigal family.”
Treanor said that he views Woodmarque as a a strong, market leader poised for further strategic growth throughout the UK and Ireland. Its founders, the Quinn family, will continue to lead Woodmarque.
Founded as a specialist in high-quality joinery and doorsets, Woodmarque launched a five-year plan post-COVID, investing in factory extensions and advanced machinery. It has grown its manufacturing facility in Dungannon from 50,000sq ft in 2019 to 130,000 sq ft, with employment numbers doubling and turnover increasing six-fold in the past decade. The firm works mainly in the commercial sector for contractors and developers working on residential developments, office fit-outs and hospitality.
Woodmarque manufacturers high-volume door-sets and specialist joinery for commercial and luxury residential projects throughout the UK and Ireland. In March 2024 it acquired Bristol-based Doorlining. No value has been shared for the current acquisition.
