Kimpton will support main contractor Kier as their preferred MEP delivery partner, with design and installation of systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, smoke extraction, building management system, internal and external lighting, small power, fire alarm, access control and public address systems.
Wythenshawe Culture Hub is located within the town’s Civic building and will ultimately include spaces for food and drink and a mix of flexible community and studio spaces for workshops, exhibitions, classes or community events. It will also feature a brand-new 40-seater cinema room and a new 200-seater performance space for a diverse range of dance, drama, music or modern art showcases. It is part of a wider £500m regeneration scheme led by Muse alongside Manchester City Council.

Kimpton is expected to start on site in Autumn 2026 and achieve completion of the works by the middle of 2027. The company has worked with Kier on a number of previous contracts.
Neil Davies, divisional manager, MEP, Manchester at Kimpton, said: “The new Culture Hub will provide a major boost for aspiring creatives and artists in Wythenshawe and the surrounding area by delivering a contemporary cultural platform for both grassroots and professional groups.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to enhance our working relationship with Kier and to continue expanding our service delivery for clients within the Greater Manchester region.”
