HALIFAX — The Government of Canada is providing $63.2 million to Nova Scotia this year, which will go towards a variety of community building projects across the province.
In 2025-26, Nova Scotia will disperse the funds across 19 project categories such as public transit, water systems, community infrastructure and local roads and bridges.
For example, in the Halifax Regional Municipality, Canada Community-Building funding contributed to the construction of the Halifax Central Common Pool, creating space for outdoor, recreational swimming, classes and poolside relaxation.
