WithIt, the leadership development network for women in the home and furnishings industry, will host a Nov. 12 on “Understanding and Research Impact” in connection with .

The event will feature , lead researcher in diabetes at the Arthur Riggs Diabetes & Metabolism Research Institute at City of Hope.

The program will discuss types of diabetes and go into the research that is happening at City of Hope. Fueger, a type 1 diabetes patient himself for more than 40 years, and his team are also hunting for therapeutic targets to prevent or reverse a series of metabolic diseases, including both type 1 and 2 diabetes, and fatty liver disease, which can lead to a deadly form of liver cancer.
