LAS VEGAS – This year, home accent brand Kalalou is celebrating its 40th anniversary with plans to introduce more than 100 new ceramics at the upcoming Las Vegas Market.
“In the current environment, consumers continue to crave dopamine décor,” said Bradley Adair, creative director at Kalalou. “They are shopping for stress relief, and looking for fun pieces to boost moods and spark happiness. This theme fits perfectly in with our new ceramic intros, which are all about creating a feeling of delight and celebration.”
Known for whimsical, affordable pieces in vibrant colors with exaggerated forms and a sense of fun, nostalgia and playfulness, Kalalou’s newest ceramic pieces are set to appeal to both independent furniture, home décor and gift stores.

“We have always been known as a leader in trendy, hand-painted, colorful ceramics. We have been investing heavily in new, creative sources from around the world,” said Josh McKay, vice president of sales and marketing. “Our goal is to make it easy for retailers to freshen their floors and increase sales with fun designs that offer point of purchase opportunities, quick turns and act as great conversation starters.”

Among the favorite ceramic designs this season is a set of three striped vases spelling “Hello” in English, French and Italian and a set of three vases in the shape of ladies’ heads with sunglasses and fruit hats.
“Big, bold stripes and colors are important in fashion now, and word play continues to trend as people seek new ways to express themselves,” Adair said. “We offer our face vases in several variations, and their expressions have become a really fun way to convey emotions.”
The company said its research shows that designers are leaning into the shift toward earth tones and sculptural designs, and Kalalou is stepping up with products coming from Central America and an assortment of terra cotta urns, compotes and other clay creations in a spectrum of natural shades.
