DALLAS – Thesis, the new sub-brand of Austrian lighting giant Eglo, showcased more than 400 lighting SKUs in interior, exterior and vanity lighting at Lightovation earlier this month to address the tastes and specific needs of the American market.
Thesis aims to fill in gaps Eglo, which caters to more European taste, did not completely fill in the North American market, according to Greg Martin, vice president of design. That means scale in fixtures, more traditional chandelier formats and American finish preferences, Martin said.
Here’s a sampling of some of the lighting families Thesis launched in Dallas:
The vegan leather straps and swooping LED tubes of the Ayers fixture mimics the necklace style seen in much higher-end fixtures. The fixture is shipped with both brown and black straps in the box, for two different looks.Ristretto is a multi-arm chandelier with heavy cast-acrylic cylinders to house the LED components.Bryony has the look of a paper lantern but is made from faux silk and comes in a variety of shapes.Abbey features woven cotton strands around a brass frame, available in a linear pendant, an orb shape or a series of nested square metal frames.Fiorello has an Italian midcentury feel with its tiered glass bowls.
