Century Furniture is expanding into the lighting category with more than 40 designs that will debut at High Point Market next month. The collection includes table and floor lamps, sconces and chandeliers. “The same spirit of craftsmanship found in Century’s joinery and finishing techniques now extends to the artistry in their fixturing,” the company said in a release. The Halo lighting series features an interchangeable shade system that coordinates with upholstery and window treatments; there is also a Cathedral Lantern intended for grand spaces; and the Torel series that features vertical cylinders of opal glass.
Arteriors is coming to market with a big new lighting collection from designer Barry Dixon. The full collection, which also includes furniture and decorative accessories, takes its cues from nature and each piece is “rooted in a specific memory, journey or material discovery” of Dixon’s, according to Arteriors. Dixon is a longtime partner of Arteriors. Among the lighting introductions is the Muscadine floor lamp that traces a tangle of vines Dixon photographed on his own land, and Else wall sconces that are Dixon’s subtle nod to a pair of Tiffany earrings his mother wore. They are cut from onyx and backlit so the stone comes alive.
In other Arteriors news, Beth Cohn has joined the company as vice president of sales. Cohn has nearly three decades of executive leadership experience across different categories; most recently she was president of showrooms for Walker Zanger and Opustone.

During Milan Design Week 2026, Foscarini will present a series of research projects exploring the interaction between light and 3D knitting at the brand’s Spazio Monforte flagship. These projects investigate materials, processes, and production techniques to open up new possibilities for shaping and diffusing light. To lead the research, Foscarini invited two designers with distinct sensibilities and approaches: Jozeph Forakis and Lorenzo Palmeri. Working independently, both explored the vast territory of 3D knitting, examining its unexpected expressive potential when placed in dialogue with light. Forakis experimented with knitting techniques to generate unusual volumes, adapting machinery and incorporating unconventional yarns to expand the material’s possibilities. Palmeri, by contrast, drew on craftsmanship from the world of fashion, translating garment-making techniques into design. His work focuses on the transformation of two-dimensional textile surfaces into three-dimensional forms through classic sartorial solutions and precise cuts, creating effects reminiscent of textile kirigami. These projects will be publicly displayed in the showroom, Corso Monforte 19, from April 21-26.
