HIGH POINT — It’s all about the mix for Century Furniture this spring.

At the upcoming High Point Market, Century will debut Symphony, a new case goods collection described by company officials as a “curated assortment of bedroom, dining and occasional pieces that redefine traditional elegance for the modern home.”

Additionally, the North Carolina-based company is launching , a new product category that “expands the company’s celebrated craftsmanship into the world of illumination.”

According to company representatives, the Symphony collection blends French, Italian, Scandinavian and Asian designs that are “harmonized with unique finishes” that function as a cohesive product offering “designed to inspire spaces with depth and soul.”

The Symphony collection nods to consumer preferences for a “layered, lived-in aesthetic,” officials said, noting that it blends classic hardwoods with painted finishes, metal accents and colorful, textural fabrics. Pieces are crafted in walnut, oak, alder and maple and offered in three new finishes: Gustavian White and Gustavian Black representing Scandinavian antiques, and Napa, an amber wood tone.

“The Symphony collection gives designers a toolbox for telling a unique story in every room,” said , vice president of case goods, outdoor and lighting. “It’s not about matching furniture; it’s about curating spaces with depth, soul, and personal character.”

Introductions include:

  • Blenheim Bed – Available as a canopy bed as well as a panel bed in queen and king sizes, the Blenheim offers a stepped wood trimmed profile that blends traditional structure with a modern, geometric aesthetic. A rich dark walnut frame features stepped, architectural fretwork and clean lines, accompanied by upholstered panels on the headboard and footboard.
  • Andorra Cabinet – An Italian-inspired four-drawer commode painted in a distressed black Gustavian finish, Andorra has three smaller drawers atop two larger ones, eight brass rosette pulls and visible keyholes.

The initial launch of Century Lighting features more than 40 distinctive designs and includes table lamps and chandeliers.

Key introductions for Century Lighting include the Halo Series, featuring an interchangeable shade system with plaster, woven, and linen shades to coordinate with upholstery, window treatments and surrounding textures; the Cathedral Lantern showcasing architectural scale that brings balance and visual gravity to high-ceiling interiors; and the Torel Series, featuring vertical cylinders of opal glass are framed by Soft Brass or Soft Nickel.

Founded in 1947 by the Shuford Family, is based in Hickory, N.C., and is a third-generation, family-owned company. The Symphony collection will be shown in the Century Furniture showroom in the 200 Steele Building, space 213.
