OTTAWA – Taking place at the Delta Grand Okanagan from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 in Kelowna, B.C., the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada (MCAC) has announced registration is officially open for the 2026 MCAC Annual National Conference.

The conference brings together professionals from across the country to connect, collaborate and explore issues shaping the future of the major trade contracting sector in Canada.

“This conference continues to be where our industry comes together to share ideas, strengthen relationships, and shape our collective path forward,” said Brad Mason, president and chair of the MCAC, in a statement. “Kelowna is a beautiful setting for this year’s event, and we are excited to meet with members from coast-to-coast for some wonderful discussions, networking and social events with old and new friends alike.”

The 2026 program has several sessions focused on innovation, productivity and the evolving regulatory and economic environment facing Canada’s contractors.

This year, Mike Downie is the conference’s keynote speaker. As an award-winning filmmaker (including the People’s Choice Award for The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal), Downie inspires audiences to look to storytelling as a means to connect, change and create cultural identity, a release reads.

In addition, the conference also features the MCAC’s Innovation Showcase, spotlighting tools and solutions that are transforming the mechanical and electrical contracting industry. Attendees will get hands-on exposure to emerging innovation.

“The Innovation Showcase is an exciting opportunity for our members to engage directly with the technologies and ideas that are reshaping our industry,” said Tania Johnston, chief executive officer of MCAC. “It reinforces our commitment to helping our members improve productivity, embrace innovation, and position themselves for long-term success.”
