Granite Secures $495M in Tactical Infrastructure Work : CEG




























Granite secured a $495 million contract for the LRT-4 Webb-Zapata tactical infrastructure project near Laredo Texas. The scope includes 27 mi. of excavation, grading, roads, fencing, bridges, culverts, low water crossings and installation of electrical lighting cameras and fiber optics. Work starts April 2026 and ends July 2027.

Granite announced on March 26, 2026, that it was awarded the LRT-4 Webb-Zapata project by Customs and Border Protection.

The approximately $495 million project will be included in the company’s first quarter 2026 CAP.

The project scope consists of 27 mi. of tactical infrastructure improvements near Laredo, Texas. This includes significant mass excavation, grading, roads and fencing and cattle guards.

Granite will construct seven bridges, eight major culvert crossings, 68 paved concrete low water crossings and install approximately 27 mi. of electrical, lighting, cameras and fiberoptics.

Work on the project is expected to begin in April 2026 and is expected to conclude in July 2027. ♣
