Designer and retailer Kathy Kuo, of Kathy Kuo Home, served as a Style Spotter during High Point Market in April. As fellow retailers and interior designers review their market information to make their final buying decisions, Kuo weighed in on some of her favorite finds.

‘s Bicono pendant. “Bicono by Sean Lavin is one of those pieces that feels quietly iconic—the silhouette is beautifully restrained, but the proportions and balance are so considered it reads more like sculpture than lighting. And as always, it’s the craftsmanship that really gets me: two years spent refining the acrylic etching so the light filters through just right. That level of intention is what elevates a design from beautiful to truly exceptional.”
Colette & Elodie cabinet options. “We just launched a collaboration with Unique Kitchen & Bath, and Colette and Elodie are two of my favorites. Colette has this beautiful inlay with beveled corner details, and Elodie has the most beautiful beading — subtle but so considered.”
English Village Lane‘s Blanket Statement rug. “I always recommend going custom when you can — especially for rugs, it makes all the difference. I recently fell in love with English Village Lane. There’s a precision and technical mastery behind every piece they make, and they are so customer focused, which in this industry is everything. Their newest, Blanket Statement, stopped me. A flatweave in 100% New Zealand wool — the kind of material that just gets better with time. What really sets it apart is that it works indoors or outdoors without sacrificing an ounce of beauty. “
Century Furniture‘s Venetian King Bed. “Not only do our clients love a canopy bed, but so do I. There’s something about them that feels royal. This one, designed by Tara Shaw, is a true princess bed. The way the iron curves feels both grand and delicate at the same time — and that gold ring detail at the crown, the sculptural boucle headboard — every layer is considered. This is the kind of piece that makes a room feel like it was designed around it. “
Currey & Company’s Spring Green cordless lamp. “I am obsessed with this charming lamp that’s equal parts flower and umbrella. The pleating, the sage green, the little brass curve is thoughtful. Oh, and it’s cordless, so it goes exactly where you need it, no cord to hide.”
