Crouse Equipment, a family-rooted equipment dealership with deep ties to the forestry industry, is expanding its offerings through a new partnership with Komplet America, bringing the manufacturer’s crushing, screening and shredding equipment to customers across Arkansas.

Founded in 1985, Crouse Equipment has evolved significantly over the past four decades. According to President Dean Crouse, the company’s origins were firmly planted in the forestry sector, serving local loggers, sawmills and timber operations throughout the region.

“We started out as a forestry-oriented dealership,” Crouse told Construction Equipment Guide. “We were loggers ourselves. We had our own logging crew, trucks and even a sawmill, so we were very focused on forestry.”

As market conditions changed, the company recognized the need to diversify. While maintaining strong ties to the forestry industry, Crouse Equipment gradually expanded into construction equipment and added new product lines to serve a broader range of customers.

“Over time, I felt like we needed to become more diversified in our equipment sales business,” Crouse said. “The forestry industry has changed quite a bit over the last seven or eight years and expanding into different industries has allowed us to continue growing.”

Today, Crouse Equipment operates from its headquarters in Sheridan, Ark., and maintains a satellite location in the Jonesboro area. The company employs 13 people and serves customers throughout the state.

The relationship with Komplet America began at ConExpo-Con/AGG 2026, where Crouse and members of his sales team first encountered the manufacturer’s equipment lineup.

“We were very interested in their low-speed shredder,” Crouse said. “We already represented a competing product, but the Komplet machine had more features, and that immediately caught our attention.”

Joining Crouse at the show were Sales Director Scott Dale and longtime sales representative Mitch Pennington. As they explored the product lineup, their interest expanded beyond shredders to include jaw crushers, impact crushers and screening equipment.

“We had never really considered that side of the business before,” Crouse said. “As we looked at the equipment, we started seeing opportunities in quarries and aggregate operations that need smaller, more affordable machines compared to some of the larger equipment on the market.”

Following the initial meeting, Komplet representatives visited Crouse Equipment’s facility in Arkansas, and Crouse later toured the manufacturer’s headquarters in New Jersey. There, he observed the equipment in operation, reviewed the parts inventory and met the company’s staff.

“I was very impressed with the people and the team they’ve built,” he said. “They are focused on serving a specific industry and building strong relationships with customers.”

Shortly after completing product and sales training, Crouse Equipment began demonstrating the equipment to prospective customers.

One of the first demonstrations involved the Komplet Krokodile shredder at a sawmill operation. The customer was looking to process material that had proven challenging for other low-speed shredders.

“With the versatility of being able to reverse the shafts when needed, the machine performed very well,” Crouse said.

The demonstration led to an immediate result. The customer committed to a long-term rental agreement for the Krokodile shredder and also added a Komplet 460 stacker to move processed material away from the machine.

Additional demonstrations are ongoing, including evaluations at aggregate and rock crushing facilities.

As the authorized Komplet dealer for Arkansas, Crouse Equipment plans to focus its efforts within state lines.

“My philosophy is simple: don’t sell outside of what you can service,” Crouse said. “We want to be able to support every machine we sell.”

To ensure customers receive prompt assistance, the company has assigned three dedicated technicians to the Komplet product line. All have recently completed training and operate fully equipped mobile service trucks, allowing them to provide both on site and field service throughout Arkansas.

“Our technicians are prepared to support customers wherever they are,” Crouse said. “Service is one of the most important parts of the business.”

“Crouse Equipment is exactly the kind of partner we look for — experienced, service-oriented, and well-connected in their market,” added Cody Price, operations manager of Komplet America. “Their presence in Arkansas opens up real opportunity for contractors and operators in the region who need compact, high-performance equipment and a local team that knows how to support it.”

Komplet compact equipment is designed for job sites where space, mobility and output all matter — processing concrete, asphalt, natural stone, and recyclable materials directly on site, according to the manufacturer. The Komplet line is distributed across North America, Central America and surrounding islands through a network of authorized dealers.
