MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — The Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (OSSGA) is launching a new awareness campaign to highlight the important role the aggregate industry plays in supporting local jobs, infrastructure and economic growth across Ontario.
Running through September, the campaign will feature digital content specific to Caledon, Milton, North Dumfries, Puslinch and Ramara, explains a release.
Through videos and graphics shared across digital platforms, the campaign will showcase the ways locally sourced aggregates help build and maintain the roads, homes and communities Ontarians rely on every day.
“Municipalities are essential partners in building strong, connected communities,” said Sharon Armstrong, executive director of OSSGA, in a statement. “This campaign is about sharing the local story of our industry and highlighting the people, jobs and materials that help make growth and infrastructure possible in communities across Ontario.”
The association notes municipal engagement is essential to ensuring decision-makers understand the importance of timely access to locally sourced materials.
“Aggregate is vital to delivering on the new schools, roads, homes and hospitals needed to support growth and build for the future,” the release adds.
