The increase in new buyer accounts continues a trend seen throughout other markets this summer.

LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas Market proved itself to still be a leading market on the West Coast for the gift and home industries as it wrapped its summer edition with an increase in new buying accounts.

Buyers flocked to World Market Center Las Vegas during the late summer market, which operated July 26-30. New accounts saw a 7 percent increase year-over-year across all categories, according to show operator Andmore, following the pattern set by both Atlanta Market and Dallas’ Total Home & Gift Market earlier this summer.

The market was anchored by a lineup of both new and expanded showrooms, along with the Vegas debut of the new First Finds temporary exhibits. Several brands exhibiting for the first time reported a positive experience, including North Drinkware.

“Our first experience exhibiting at exceeded our expectations. It was North Drinkware’s debut at the show, and thanks to the incredible support from the Fine Lines team, we had a fantastic market,” said Matt Capozzi, co-founder of North Drinkware. “We stayed busy throughout the event, enjoyed meeting so many retailers face-to-face, and built valuable new relationships.”

Seasoned brands also reported solid sales numbers, with Patchology Sales & Marketing Director Kristin Sprague commenting that “momentum and buyer enthusiasm made it our most productive Las Vegas Market yet.”

In addition to all of the showrooms to see, attendees had the opportunity to participate in several educational events touching on AI, design and social media, as well as networking events like the Market Kickoff Party.

Awards All Around

During the market, Andmore awarded several brands with various best booth awards, including Oh My Mahjong for Best Branding Display. Best of Show went to Tru-Tone (Design); Luzia Leather Home Collection (Handmade) earned Best Product Merchandising; Trovolore (Handmade) won for Best Use of Color; and Icinco Studio (Gift) earned honors for Best Storytelling.

Buyer traffic was strong throughout the show, and we opened a number of new accounts, strengthened relationships with existing partners, and came away with several promising business opportunities.”
