WILMINGTON, Del. – As Simply Interior Homes moves through the process of liquidating its assets under Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Live Comfortably plans to pick up the full Kate Spade business.
Both companies comprise components of the former Keeco company – the original Kate Spade licensee for soft home. In February 2025, Simply Interior Homes (SIH) became a separate entity through a carve-out process and retained Keeco’s fashion home textiles businesses, including top of bed, bath and window. Keeco rebranded as Live Comfortably the following month, retaining its U.S. utility bedding manufacturing facilities, sourcing infrastructure and retail relationships.
After the split, SIH continued to produce Kate Spade fashion home goods – but the master license itself remained with Live Comfortably. That license includes utility bedding, fashion bedding, bath and accessories.

This week, Live Comfortably moved to acquire SIH’s current Kate Spade inventory along with all in-transit products that have not yet become the property of SIH. The acquisition is subject to approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Delaware.
The Kate Spade inventory identified on the court filing is valued at more than $1.26 million and includes fashion bedding, sheets, decorative pillows, towels, bath mats, and shower curtains.
Going forward, Live Comfortably intends to continue selling Kate Spade home fashion categories under the master license, according to Live Comfortably CEO Brian Cassady.
Subject to court approval, the company plans to re-engage with existing Kate Spade product vendors and move forward directly with brand’s retail customers.
