ATLANTA – In an effort to support growth in retail, gift and home décor brand Mud Pie has announced a new wholesale freight matrix for retailers aimed at lowering shipping costs, the company said Tuesday.

Effective Sept. 1, applicable wholesale accounts will automatically receive the new lower standard freight rates. According to the release, the new structure is “expected to deliver estimated average savings of approximately 40 percent compared with current freight charges, giving retailers greater flexibility to expand assortments, reorder best sellers and reinvest in their businesses,” although actual savings will vary by shipment and destination.
