HIGH POINT — Science in Design has line up Jennifer Walsh, an acclaimed wellness and design expert, to be the keynote speaker for the When Design Heals: How Interior Design Shapes Health event at October High Point Market.
Walsh will kick off the event on Oct. 24 at Congdon Yards during High Point Market. Described by event organizers as a “trailblazer at the intersection of beauty, nature and neuroscience, she serves as a strategic advisor at the Penn Center for Neuroaesthetics (University of Pennsylvania) and as a faculty advisor at the Brain Health Initiative at Harvard University. She has been featured in The New York Times and Entrepreneur Magazine as well as other media.

Walsh’s keynote, titled “The Biophilic Brain: How Beauty and Biophilia Impact Brain Health,” will address the impact of nature and beauty on mental and physical well-being. Walsh will also introduce her new initiative, Natural Intelligence for Women: A Revolutionary Leadership Program, at the event. Representatives note that the new program highlights “beauty as a daily practice, the health benefits of biophilic environments and the transformative power of neuroaesthetics.”
