Currey & Company has named Ross Bradford president, assuming the role from founder Brownlee Currey. Currey will continue in his role as CEO, focusing on the creative, operational and financial aspects of the business, the company said.
For the past year, Bradford has served as vice president of strategy and business development for the company. He will lead the company’s sales and marketing in his new role. His career includes executive positions at Samsung, Bosch, Thermador, Gaggenau, Hisense, Home Depot and Serta Simmons Bedding. The Georgia native worked with Robert Currey, the founder of Currey & Company, as a teen.
“I am truly delighted that Ross has accepted the role of president,” said Brownlee Currey, who in addition to CEO is also the owner of the company. “Our company will benefit enormously from his strengths – his deep experience in sales planning, his clear-eyed use of data to guide decisions, and his steady bias towards action. Ross and I will be working closely together and I’m clear we make a strong team.”

In addition, the Atlanta-based home furnishings manufacturer also appointed Mary M. Wilson as vice president of key accounts and Drew Alden as director of furniture.
Joining the company, Wilson was previously director of design at Cyan Design, and brings decades of global leadership in product development, design strategy, merchandising and international sales, the company said. She founded the original Studio A Home, partnering with Global Views in 2010 to form Studio A Home, an eclectic, refined mix of accessories and furniture. She also served as director of business development international sales at Leftbank Art.
“Mary is an industry icon,” said Stanford Poulsen, senior vice president of key accounts and ecommerce. “Her relationship-driven leadership style will enhance our ability to better serve our customers. She brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge ranging from initiating product development to meeting the business needs of the customer. Most importantly, Mary’s genuinely warm and personable style makes her the perfect addition to the Currey team. We are so fortunate to have her on board.”
Wilson added, “Delivering creative, tailored solutions to our customers is my North Star. It’s more than developing compelling, beautiful product. It’s also about creating innovative solutions that truly resonate with customers.”

After a 10-year tenure with Havertys Furniture, Alden joins the company as director of furniture. At Havertys, he oversaw key categories such as occasional tables, media furniture, accent furniture, office and outdoor furnishings. His responsibilities as a buyer included new product forecasting, product training, merchandising presentations, and analyzing sales and trends.
Alden “possesses the rare dual talent of being a very accomplished furniture designer and a collaborative, creative merchant,” said Pam Bailey, vice president of product development and design. “His eye for style and trends along with his acumen for assortment planning will help drive forward the growth of the company’s furniture program.”
“There are few companies I have admired as much as Currey & Company over the years,” said Alden. “I have been overwhelmed by how lovely, talented and supportive everyone I have met has been, including our factory partners and overseas teams. I am excited to continue the Currey & Company tradition of introducing inspired and original designs that lead the industry in trends while also paying tribute to the history of design.”
