CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Belk will debut a smaller store format with the early December grand opening of stores in Texas and Florida.
The Belk Market concept store will offer new brands and styles specific to each store’s area along with a curated assortment of top national and private label brands from the department store retailer’s full-line locations.
The assortment will include men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, as well as shoes, handbags, accessories, home décor and fine jewelry.
A grand opening celebration will take place at on Saturday, December 13. The new Belk Market stores are located at:
- The Grove at Wesley Chapel, 5845 Wesley Grove Blvd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544
- The Centre at Preston Ridge, 3333 Preston Rd #700, Frisco, TX 75034
“At the Belk Market, customers will enjoy an easy-to-shop layout, fresh new merchandise and the value and quality they’ve come to expect from us,” said Don Hendricks, CEO at Belk.

This marks the second new concept introduced by the regional department store, which launched Belk Outlet stores in 2023. The wide selection of merchandise in Belk Outlet units comes directly from traditional Belk stores. In addition, the outlets stock value fashion and home merchandise purchased specifically for those locations.
“We know our customers come to us for the brands and products they trust, and we’re always looking for new ways to match our shoppers’ needs,” said Hendricks.
The privately owned company currently operates nearly 300 Belk and Belk Outlet locations across 16 Southeastern states.
