Franconia, N.H. – DTC retailer Garnet Hill is debuting three exclusive product collections that honor its design legacy as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The company got its start during the 1970s energy crisis after founders Pegge Kirshner and Grant Dowse returned from Europe with a set of English flannel sheets. At a time when government officials were urging Americans to dial down their thermostats at night, 100% cotton flannel bedding looked like a product that met the moment.

The pair founded in 1976 with a modest catalog focused on natural fibers. Over time, the brand became a source for premium bedding, apparel, and home decor created with artistry and craftsmanship.

To commemorate its golden anniversary, Garnet Hill this month launched three collections that reflect the brand and its New England roots:

The Franconia Collection is a  limited-edition offering that features a commissioned print with artist Jill Labieniec. The exclusive print is inspired by Franconia and the North Country of New Hampshire. The collection includes bedding and sleepwear.
