The application sought approval for a data centre campus with all associated infrastructure and outline planning permission for a warehouse building. The proposals comprise 500,000 sq ft across three data centre halls and auxiliary buildings. A further 160,00 sq ft of industrial and logistics space with EV charging, will be built on an adjoining plot owned by Harworth Group.
Harworth group completed the first phase of the transaction with Microsoft in June 2024, comprising 27 acres for a gross consideration of £51.2m. The regeneration specialist continues to deliver site remediation and enabling works on behalf of Microsoft. The second phase (Plot 2) comprises 21 acres where Harworth is also delivering enabling works and on completion of sale to Microsoft will receive a further £53.2m.
