The Shakti Design Residency is now accepting applications from product designers interested in working with India‘s leading ateliers. The month-long program in November targets designers working in collectible and limited-edition design.
Six designers will be selected, and each will be paired with a mentor from its 2026 jury: Shalini Misra, founder of the Shakti Design Residency, Shalini Misra Design and Curio.Space; Aric Chen, director of the Zaha Hadid Foundation; Nada Debs, a Levantine designer and founder of her eponymous studio; Rodman Primack, founder of AGO Interiors and co-founder of AGO Projects; Suchi Reddy, architect, designer and founder of Reddymade; and Karishma Swali, creative director of Chanakya International and founder of the Chanakya School of Craft.

Product designers with an established body of work and genuine curiosity in the craft traditions of India are invited to apply. The deadline to apply is midnight on July 31.
Now in its third year, the Shakti Design Residency aims to bring product designers and master craftspeople together as equals, each bringing their own knowledge, language and intent to design and making, a release said.
