Wood will step up to the role in July 2026, taking over from Peckett, a partner at Clyde & Co, who steps down after 18 years in the role. Wood has extensive experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Leading Michelmores’ construction team, she advises developers, employers, contractors and consultants on a broad range of projects across the UK.
Wood is recognised for her pragmatic, commercial approach and her ability to navigate complex legal issues within the built environment sector.
As chair of the drafting sub-committee, Anna will lead the group responsible for overseeing the development and updating of JCT’s suite of standard form construction contracts.
Wood, said, “I am delighted to take on the role of chair of the JCT drafting sub-committee at a time when the construction industry continues to navigate significant legal, commercial and regulatory change.
“JCT contracts play a central role in supporting successful project delivery, and I look forward to working with the drafting sub-Ccmmittee to ensure that all contracts across the suite remain clear, relevant and fit for purpose.”
