FORT MYERS, Fla. – Barrett Bergmann Home is now offering its Custom Bedding Program as a solution to a longstanding challenge within the design industry.
Created by interior designers Kyle Barrett and Dwayne Bergmann, they developed the program from firsthand experience specifying luxury interiors and encountering the limitations of existing bedding options. Designers wanted the ability to create something distinctive and personal for their clients, but often faced long lead times, complicated quoting structures, unpredictable pricing, and extensive coordination to achieve a custom result.
“We built this program because it solved a problem that we experienced ourselves,” said Kyle Barrett, co-founder of Barrett Bergmann Home. “Designers want to create bedrooms that feel unique to their clients, but custom bedding has historically required a tremendous amount of time, coordination, and guesswork. We wanted to simplify that process without sacrificing creativity.”

The Barrett Bergmann Home Custom Bedding Program allows designers to select from over 400 curated fabrics and apply them across established templates, creating personalized combinations of duvets, shams, euros, bolsters and decorative accents.
By providing a structured framework for customization, the program offers the individuality of bespoke bedding while streamlining production, pricing, and ordering. Just as importantly, it creates a new opportunity for designers to capture revenue within a category that has often been difficult to monetize effectively.
“In many cases, designers either avoid custom bedding altogether because of the complexity or spend an enormous amount of time managing the process,” said Dwayne Bergmann. “We wanted to create something that not only gives designers creative control but also supports the business side of their practice.”
The concept resonated strongly during the Custom Bedding’s Spring High Point Market debut.
To demonstrate the versatility of the program, Barrett Bergmann Home partnered with four interior designers: Parker Bowie Larson, Lisa and Everick Brown, Kim Radovich and Traci Connell, inviting each to create a completely custom bed setting.
The resulting installations showcased dramatically different aesthetics, reinforcing the central premise behind the program: when given the right tools, designers can create unique outcomes from a shared framework.
“There were so many fabrics to choose from, and the templates helped me visualize the design,” said Larson. “I wanted the bed to have as many different looks as possible.”
Larson said she believes the program fills a meaningful gap in the marketplace.
For Barrett Bergmann Home, the Custom Bedding Program represents a broader philosophy that has guided the brand since its founding: creating products and programs that solve real challenges faced by interior designers.
