MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Saint-Gobain, through its subsidiary CertainTeed Canada, Inc., has announced the acquisition of MCM Acoustical, a manufacturer of wood ceiling and wall panels in Mississauga, Ont.
According to a release, CertainTeed Architectural has a longstanding relationship with MCM Acoustical and its parent company, working with them to provide acoustical solutions for more than two decades.
Included in the deal is MCM Acoustical’s manufacturing plant, located in Mississauga, which has approximately 90 employees who will be joining CertainTeed Architectural, effective immediately.
The acquisition will allow CertainTeed Architectural to build on its existing relationship with MCM, enhance the supply chain and be more responsive to evolving customer demand, the release adds.
The 70,000-square-foot facility was designed to meet a wide range of production needs, from architecturally complex custom design projects to high-quality large volume production.
The current plant was opened in 2022.
