CORNWALL, ONT. – Engineering firm Parsons Inc. has been retained by the Province of Ontario to study Highway 138, a single-lane highway between Highway 417 and Cornwall, Ont., that’s been the site of multiple fatal crashes over the years.

The study will take a look at possible improvements and will also include a round of public consultations.

The specific study area is located between Highway 401 and Highway 417 and is following the approved planning process for a Group ‘B’ project under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment for Provincial Transportation Facilities.

Parsons has also developed a website intended to keep stakeholders and members of the public updated on the project.

The website will be continually updated to provide notification of project milestones, opportunities for public engagement and other relevant information, explains a release, such as publicly available reports and other materials.
