
TORONTO – GHD has been retained by the City of Toronto to develop a greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation strategy, supporting the city’s commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
According to a release, the strategy will consolidate existing GHG reduction efforts, establish achievable targets aligned with the City’s TransformTO vision, and prioritize l mitigation activities.
JL Richards & Associates Ltd., Cobalt Water and the University of Windsor will partner with GHD on the project.
The company will design and facilitate workshops with staff and stakeholders at key stages of the project; it will support new policy development and assess new technologies to advance GHG mitigation plans; and it will co-create decision-support tools tailored to Toronto Water’s operational context.
