HIGH POINT — A well-known name is returning to market in October.
Karat Home is relaunching Z Gallerie, a brand described by company officials as “known for its whole-home, modern glamor aesthetic.” The relaunch will include 1,500 newly designed SKUs created by Karat Home‘s 40-person in-house design team, officials said, adding that the relaunch will blend Z Gallerie‘s eclectic style with “modern business practices and consumer insights.”

Z Gallerie was founded in 1979 as a poster shop in California and evolved into a more than 100-store chain featuring a full line of home furnishings for every room. Z Gallerie was acquired through the bankruptcy process in January 2024 by Karat Home.

“The purchase of Z Gallerie has been a passion project: modernizing the business while staying true to the vision of making every day glamorous, one room at a time,” said Scarlett Fan , Karat Home/Z Gallerie CEO. “This relaunch celebrates both our design expertise and our commitment to bringing Z Gallerie’s spirit back to life.”
Officials said that Z Gallerie plans to open its first store in Dallas before year’s end, followed by four more over the next three to five years. At the High Point Market, Z Gallerie will showcase its new product line and introduce a new interior design trade partner program at its 135 S. Main St., suite 121, location.
“The re-launch of the Z Gallerie brand harnesses our expertise in product design, manufacturing and data intelligence to meet the needs of the retail customer, still a significant segment of the industry,” Fan said.
Fifty-six new SKUs will debut in the High Point Market showroom. Key products include the Stria buffet, featuring a sculptural, reeded façade and built from oak solids and veneers; the Stria dining chairs upholstered in velvet and with handcrafted solid oak bases; and the Silex dining table, featuring the look of natural marble via fiber concrete and water-transfer printing. Officials said that the table’s fiber concrete construction is 60% lighter than solid marble, allowing for a 94.5-inch span without visible structural support.
The Z Gallerie Designer Trade Program is tailored to support interior designers, architects, home stagers and other creative professionals with the tools and benefits they need to bring their visions to life, including exclusive savings and white-glove service, officials said.
Founded in 2015, Karat Home, began as J&S Yard, a fabric mill supplying textiles to furniture makers before evolving into a full-scale furniture manufacturer and an e-commerce brand known as Hulala Home.
