OSHAWA, ONT. –Ontario Tech University has broken ground on The Ridge, a new on-campus residence that is slated for completion in fall 2027.
To be constructed just north of the Campus Ice Centre along a natural water course feature, the residence will open in stages, a release reads.
Approximately 450 beds will comprise the first phase, with long-term plans to accommodate about 2,000 students.
The residence will include a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and four-bedroom suite configurations and will feature such amenities such as study spaces and social lounges.
A consortium led by Campus Suites and Woodbourne will complete the project, with Campus Living Centres managing operations.
