German trade show organizer Messe Frankfurt has its eye on the interior design market. It is positioning the Interior Looks segment of its annual Ambiente Fair as an area for premium interior and furniture design and a matchmaking hub for global contract business.

“We are continuously developing the Interior Design segment at Ambiente,” said Yvonne Engelmann, director of Ambiente’s Living & Giving sector, in a release. “Our focus is on creating even greater added value for the international interior design and furnishing industry.”

Among the manufacturers participating in the segment are Bielefelder Werkstätten, Studio Ethnicraft and Studio Höllental. Among the attending retailers, hotel groups and hospitality firms it mentioned are Marriott International, Hilton, Wayfair and Harrods Group.

It has developed an Interior Design & Architecture Hub as well as partnerships with groups such as World-Architects (an international network of architects and building professionals), and the European Council of Interior Architects.

It is also focused on networking. “In challenging times, personal encounters and targeted networking are becoming more important than ever,” Engelmann said. “That is why we focus on curated matchmaking, bringing manufacturers together with architects, interior designers, hospitality decision-makers and international buyers in a targeted way.

“Ambiente offers the ideal conditions for this,” she added. “Thanks to its high level of internationality among both exhibitors and visitors, it brings together decision-makers from around the world in Frankfurt.”

The show is held annually in Frankfurt. The next show Ambiente Fair, which runs concurrently with Christmasworld and Creartiveworld, is scheduled for Jan. 29, 2027 through Feb. 2, 2027.
