Lightovation is next week.
“Retail rules are changing, and June’s edition of Lightovation reflects that transformation,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center, in a release last month. “In an evolving economy, it’s more important than ever to connect with the lighting community, discover new collections, and make informed buying decisions. Lightovation continues to lead the way in lighting and celebration of the industry as a whole.”
As previously reported, seminars and other educational events are lined up. You can read more about them here.
And Home Accents Today will be on the ground in Dallas, reporting from and after the show. Please look for our reports online and on social media.

Elsewhere in the market, two overseas companies have introduced outdoor lighting pieces.
French brand Fermob has introduced its first-ever solar floor lamp, Yunos. Powered by what Fermob says is one of the largest solar panels ever featured in a consumer lamp, Yunos is completely autonomous, and its sensors enable it to turn on at nightfall and switch off when daylight returns. It stands on a tripod base and has a bowl-shaped design outfitted with the solar panel.
Some of Fermob’s other outdoor lighting newcomers are the portable Balad, the touch-sensitive Ulli, the retro-chic Swiing and the adaptable Aplo.

Also in outdoor lighting, Spanish brand Point is introducing Zuma, a collection it designed in collaboration with Barcelona-based design studio, Boti De Dominicis. Zuma, which is made from aluminum and comes in two finishes, has a conical shape of open slats and an integrated handle so that it can easily be carried around from place to place. “We wanted to design a piece that could move with you — something that adapts to how people actually live outdoors today,” designers Albert Boti and Andrea de Dominicis, said in a release.
