Dallas Market Center is lining up a special exhibit in January for retailers and designers that features lighting exhibitors from South and Central America.
Nearshoring American Lightovation will take place Jan. 10-12 in Trade Mart 4909, encapsulated within Lightovation, and will include more than a dozen vetted suppliers close to the United States.
“Brands are looking for faster, more resilient sourcing options, and nearshoring within the Americas is unlocking new opportunities for speed to market and growth,” said Cindy Morris, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “By bringing these companies directly to Lightovation, we’re making it easier than ever to discover partners who can deliver both quality and proximity.”
The exhibit will feature the following manufacturers and suppliers:
- Alfalux – Commercial and OEM lighting
- Check BIM – BIM library development and industry support solutions
- Foco Metallo – Table, ceiling, and floor lighting

The exhibition will feature a presentation of each company’s production and/or supply chain services capabilities, and each exhibitor will be prepared to immediately engage with attendees regarding terms and conditions of product development and production, DMC said.
In addition, a Nearshoring America Index has been created that includes an exclusive and vetted list of more than 300 manufacturers, sourcing agents and supply chain service providers organized by country. A nearshoring newsletter currently being distributed includes background, research, commentary and timely topics for the business of nearshoring.

And some new products:

Luxury outdoor furnishings supplier Brown Jordan has come out with a new line of solar-powered lanterns in two silhouettes, Terra (a rectangular shape, accented with teak) and Sora (classic lantern shapes wrapped in rope). Both come in three sizes and various colors.
Zuo Modern also has a new collection of unwired, solar-powered lamps, for hospitality. The lineup includes six table lamps and four floor lamps, with shades constructed from outdoor-grade synthetic rattan or UV-resistant linen. Bases are made from terracotta, repurposed ship rope or ash wood. Each lamp includes a built-in removable solar charging system.

Also in the outdoor sector, Contardi‘s newest collections include Bloom, a painted aluminum structure shaped like a calla lily, making it both decorative and functional; a wall-mounted version of its Kiki modular outdoor light (with IP65 protection), and a new wired version of Clara, which now has a fixed handle and the light source positioned at the bottom for better light diffusion. Equipped with an LED bulb and IP65 protection, the new Clara maintains the same finishes as the battery-powered version and comes with an IP68 connector, guaranteeing maximum water resistance.
