LAS VEGAS — The weather forecast may be snow and ice for much of the country this weekend, but home décor brand Kalalou is setting the stage for spring here in Las Vegas with a major update to its named Collection of more than 100 new floral designs.

While the company has long been known for its wild floral creations — frankly faux, fun and oversize flowers crafted from EVA foam in shapes and colors not actually found in nature — the look this season has shifted to hyper-realistic wildflowers that look as though they were freshly gathered from the meadow.

“Not your grandmother’s silk flowers, these creative works of art require no watering, green thumb, or even special talent to create lasting arrangements that instantly add warmth and texture to a space, whether a home or retail floor,” said Bradley Adair, creative director of Kalalou.

Crafted from latex and sold as individual stems with suggested retails of $8 to $10 each (minimum of six identical stems), each lifelike petal and stem will bend into any shape. All are available for quick delivery from the company’s Jackson, Mississippi warehouse.

Inside the Las Vegas showroom, C-604, retailers and designers are encouraged to “play” with arranging its newest crop of botanically correct, individual stems and branches. “We have created empty spaces in the showroom specifically to give people room to flex their creative muscles and design their own arrangements,” said Josh McKay, vice president of sales and marketing.

Among the new Botanica offerings are soft clusters of pale green berries that add a subtle pop of color and natural texture to floral compositions. Also watch for delicate blossoms, wispy grass blades as filler and elegant neutral tones, along with tall organic stems with layered leaves and natural shading that add sculptural movement and accent a room with soft, garden-inspired detail.

According to McKay, the new SKUs are amassed in a variety of Kalalou’s Botanica display stands which range from reclaimed canisters to tiered units and galvanized racks.

“Crafted for multiple arrangements or displaying single stems, our canisters and display units make it easy to use the Botanica offerings to create irresistible power aisles, hot spots, and impulse buy zones on retail floors,” McKay said in a release. “Plus, adding florals, greenery, trees and plants to a store environment engages shoppers and creates a warm and inviting environment that helps sell everything else on the floor,” he said.

All of the Botanica Collection introductions are eligible for Kalalou’s 40th anniversary promotion, with $40 shipping for all in-stock products, shipped throughout January. Customers can take advantage of the promotion at the Las Vegas Winter Market.
