LAS VEGAS – With today as the official opening day of the Las Vegas Market, exhibitors spent yesterday putting the finishing touches on their showrooms. The winter storm hitting much of the country has many exhibitors worried about attendance at this week’s show.
Feizy Rugs is introducing several collections this market including the new Tula collection, which is a brightly colored share made in India; the hand-tufted Kendall collection which features blues, greens and neutrals; the Melrose collection, made in Turkey, offers a stain- and water-resistant surface with transitional florals in serene blues and earthy taupe with a southwestern theme; and the Springfield collection is hand-knotted in India, rich and inspired by classic Persian rug motifs.

The Nara collection is new for Loloi. Hand-knotted from wool pile in India, the collection comes in seven colorways. The new Milana collection, meanwhile, is power-loomed of polyester pile and is available in nine colorways.

“At Loloi, we strive to have a breath of offerings including hand-woven, hand-knotted and machine-made, so no matter who you are, you can find a beautiful rug for your home,” said Stuart Spencer, Loloi VP of sales.
Leftbank Art has created a new curated area of the showroom where visitors can see the art in different room vignettes to get a true understanding of how the art will look in the home. They also have new pieces from artist Nikki Chu and Justin Q Williams.
The California-based company has also ventured into new wallcoverings made from different substrates including suede, matte and pearl.

“Our new Dimense program offers the freedom to create immersive walls with sculpted patterns, custom art and refined finishes that elevate interiors without construction costs,” said Frankie Daniel, creative director. “This is a new creative tool for designers who want more than a flat surface.”
The company is also offering a sneak peek at a new wallcovering collection that will officially be debuting at High Point this spring.

And, to celebrate its 40th anniversary, DW Silks is having a party from 3 – 5 p.m. on Mon., Jan. 26 featuring an Elvis impersonator and a jewelry raffle along with new collections this market, that feature items including Red Cream Orchids, Horsetail Reed and Philo Leaves in Panel Vases, as well as Sisal and Assorted Succulents.

The Las Vegas Market runs through Thurs. Jan 29.
