HIGH POINT – Arteriors will introduce lighting from at High Point Market next month that taps the designer’s worldwide travels as well as the natural world closer to his home.

The full Barry Dixon collection, which also includes furniture and decorative accessories, takes its cues from nature, and each piece is “rooted in a specific memory, journey or material discovery” of Dixon’s, according to Arteriors. Dixon is a longtime partner of Arteriors.

“Barry Dixon has spent a lifetime collecting the world. From a childhood across India, Pakistan, Korea, New Caledonia and South Africa to decades of global design projects, his aesthetic has always moved between the far-flung and the deeply personal,” said an Arteriors spokesperson. “Today he is grounded on a 300-acre Virginia farm where the muscadine vines and the pond at moonlight are as much of a source of inspiration as

any archive or antique market. His S26 collection with Arteriors brings all of it together.”

Every piece begins with an image, most of them taken on Dixon’s iPhone.

Among his lighting introductions are the Muscadine floor lamp that traces a tangle of vines Dixon photographed on his own land, and Elsa wall sconces that are Dixon’s subtle nod to a pair of Tiffany earrings his mother wore. They are cut from onyx and backlit so the stone comes alive.

There are also the Wrangle and Neushoorn wall sconces, and the Tyche pendant.

Arteriors is also featuring a wide range of under the Arteriors brand this spring, as well as new pendant and floor and table lamps.
