Because of ongoing uncertainty surrounding the Middle East conflict, Lavin Rugs plans to adjust its pricing structure.
“These changes are essential to ensure we can continue delivering the quality, service and reliability you expect from Lavin,” said President Jose Lopez in a statement.
The company also plans to implement a new freight policy that caps freight charges at a maximum of 15% of the order value, regardless of order size. This initiative is intended to help offset some of the broader cost pressures, Lavin said.
“While price adjustments are never taken lightly, we remain committed to strengthening our partnerships and delivering long-term value,” Lopez added. “We believe these changes strike a balanced approach, allowing us to maintain the integrity of our products while offering more consistency in freight costs.”
Lopez said the company hopes these changes support the ability of customers to plan and budget with greater confidence.

Last week’s New York Home Fashions Market set the stage for several rug companies to spotlight new collections.

Oriental Weavers of America spotlighted the new Bacall and Hadley collections, which align with what company leaders say is sustained customer interest in rugs that balance visual depth with durability and everyday livability.
“From a design perspective for 2026/2027, we’re focused on rugs that embrace texture and tactility,” said Mandi Williams, vice president of product development and design. “We’re using warm, bold and earth-toned palettes.”
The Bacall collection is a celebration of sculptural carving and dimensional geometric motifs rendered across a restrained spectrum of neutrals. The palette ranges from light and cool grays to deeper, warmer brown tones, allowing the designs to adapt easily across contemporary and transitional interiors.
Complementing Bacall’s sculptural geometry, the Hadley collection introduces an organic geometric pattern expressed through softer tonal transitions. The color story blends warm neutrals, including ecru, sand and truffle, with richer earthy browns and cooler accents of charcoal and slate.
“Texture and tactility remain central to how we’re approaching development,” Williams said, citing the use of high-pile constructions, carved surfaces and yarn variation to enhance visual interest as well as to deliver a more immersive physical experience.

After multiple seasons dominated by subdued neutrals and quiet tonal layering, Momeni Inc. is aligning its New York Home Fashions Market presentation with what it sees as a noticeable reset in consumer taste.
“From a directional standpoint, we’re seeing – and leaning into – a renewed embrace of pattern and color in the home,” said Reza Momeni, principal of the Carlstadt, N.J.-based rug and flooring supplier.
“Consumers are gravitating toward richer color stories – palettes that feel optimistic, soulful and deeply dimensional,” Momeni said. “We’re seeing growing interest in statement-making patterned rugs, saturated solids, and traditional layouts refreshed through modernized motifs and subtle geometric detailing.”
New introductions emphasize geometry, texture and versatility across lifestyle settings. They include:
Simba Collection – Hand-tufted in India from 100% New Zealand wool, Simba explores bold geometry through a labyrinth-inspired motif rendered in contrasting tones.
Cove Collection – Newly expanded striped designs bring a relaxed, modern rhythm to Cove’s performance-driven construction. Softly banded stripes add subtle movement without overwhelming a space.
Novogratz x Momeni Icon Collection – The new cabana-stripe designs deliver graphic clarity and bold color pairings influenced by midcentury modern references. The low-profile flatweave constructions support flexible placement across interior and exterior settings.
“This boldness isn’t about visual volume,” he added. “It’s about creating dimension – surfaces that bring movement, texture and emotional warmth underfoot.”

The array of new area rug collections featured at Nourison Home for New York Home Fashions Market also addresses key design trends in the home.
The Soft Structure collection offers tactile comfort and quiet architectural design. Plush pile surfaces and softly blended tones create depth through texture for modern interiors. “The collection reflects the continued shift toward spaces that prioritize warmth, tactile materials, and subtle tonal layering over bold visual content,” according to the company.

Classic Persian design inspires Nourison’s Shiraz Collection, which features traditional motifs, decorative borders and richly layered patterning that reflects heritage rug design. The multicolor palette provides warmth and depth with a relaxed, lived-in feel.
Clean contrast is the hallmark of the Modern Comfort Collection,

which introduces a vivid interplay of crisp ivory and deep black to deliver graphic clarity and simplicity. The bold contrast design speaks to interiors that embrace strong visual structures.
From sharp and bold, Nourison shifts to soft and relaxed with the Pacific Shag collection. The design pairs deep, plush shag pile with a subtle bordered construction. The palette includes calming colors that bring warmth to contemporary interiors.
Nourison also introduced new rugs within its licensed DKNY collection. DKNY Pure Cord is handwoven from a wool and jute blend with a design featuring subtle striated patterning that adds depth without visual distraction. The DKNY Central Park West marries urban sophistication with modern color and clean-lined patterning that reflects the brand’s signature metropolitan sensibility.
