“Over the past 18 years Sandy has been an important partner and leader of RH’s transformation into the leading luxury home brand in the world,” said Gary Friedman, chairman and CEO. “Her exceptional leadership and passionate advocacy of our values and beliefs give me great confidence in Sandy’s ability to build and lead a team capable of building one of the most admired brands in the world.”
“I am deeply grateful for the trust Gary and our leadership team have placed in me,” Pilon said. “Having spent the last 18 years growing alongside this extraordinary organization, it is an incredible honor to step into this role. I believe the greatest luxury we can offer is an exceptional experience — one that reflects our values in every interaction, inspires our people to do their life’s best work, and creates lasting relationships with teams and customers around the world. I couldn’t be more excited for what we will build.”
As chief legal and compliance officer, Hassanein will oversee all areas of the company’s legal and compliance functions, including product safety and vendor compliance. He will report to Friedman.
Prior to joining RH, Hassanein spent more than 10 years at McKesson Corp., one of the largest healthcare companies in the world, where he was a member of the chief legal officer’s leadership team with responsibilities spanning a wide range of areas, including litigation, regulatory, compliance, government relations, supply chain and technology.
“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to Team RH,” Friedman said. “Ryan’s leadership experience extends well beyond the traditional scope of a legal role based on the range of his contributions at McKesson, one of the largest and most sophisticated companies in the world from a legal and compliance perspective. We believe Ryan is an outstanding addition to our executive leadership team as we continue to optimize our business as part of our growth and international expansion.”
Added Hassanein, “I am honored to join Gary and Team RH in the quest to build one of the most admired brands in the world and excited to participate in such an extraordinary effort. I look forward to making a meaningful contribution as RH continues to scale its business and strengthen its operational capabilities.”
