Shoppe Object returns to New York next week with more than 900 independent and global brands and a full slate of activities and events, including a documentary film screening about artisan makers on Sunday and a free boat ride in New York Harbor on Monday night.
Fifty new exhibitors have joined the lineup for this summer edition of the show, according to Shoppe Object organizers. It also noted that 55% of its summer exhibitors chose Shoppe Object as their only U.S. show, and have been designated with an “Only in New York” logo on their booth.
“As we unveil our biggest brand count ever, I’m most proud of the fact that more than half of the exhibitors this edition chose Shoppe Object as their only U.S. trade show — that’s not a coincidence, that’s the result of a real commitment to our strategy,” said show founder and president Jesse James in a release. Jesse James is also senior VP for creative, experience & innovation for AndMore, which owns the show.
“We want buyers to know that coming to Shoppe means seeing people and products they won’t find anywhere else, including hundreds of international brands from more than 50 countries,” said James.
Show Director Renata Bokalo added, ““Every market has its own energy, and this edition feels especially exciting because of the incredible mix of new voices, returning exhibitors, and genuinely passionate people joining us in New York.”

The show will be held Aug. 2-4 at the Starrett-Lehigh Building on 11th Avenue, between 26th and 27th streets.
Among the events and presentations are a global artisan project that highlights handmade goods from around the world; the Black Lives Matter Action Initiatives, which fosters a more representative home and gift market by sponsoring talented Black designers and business owners; and an experiential installation with artist Naomi Clark.
There will Shoppe Talks across all three days of the show that speak to the hearts (Friday), heads (Saturday), and hands (Sunday) shaping the industry at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. daily. The full lineup is outlined here.
A film screening of “Handmade Future,” which follows artisans in six countries rebelling against fast, cheap production, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Sunday with a Q&A with creators Kirsten and Brandon Dickerson of Artist & Nomad to follow.
And the annual Showboat party for all attendees will set sail from Pier 61 at Chelsea Piers Monday evening. Boarding begins at 6:15 p.m., departs at 7 p.m., and returns at 9:30 p.m.
