Online lighting retailer Lumens has opened a design gallery in the Jackson Square neighborhood in San Francisco, offering an immersive environment with vignettes and collaborative workspaces that feature an edited assortment from the brand’s vast product catalog.

“The Lumens Design Gallery will not only strengthen our presence in the luxury design market but will allow our community to engage with the brand and product catalog in ways that were not possible before,” said CMO Dana Gers.

The Lumens Design Gallery experience is about curation and storytelling. The street-facing reception area will serve as a dedicated, conceptual space to showcase the innovative ideas and creative work of top thought leaders and visionaries within the design community.

Every six months, as part of its new program, Lumens will work with a prominent member of the design community to take over this space with an installation that features a selection of products available at Lumens. NYC-based designer Ghislaine Viñas will be the first Designer in Residence in the new gallery.

“By partnering with industry icons such as Ghislaine through our Designer in Residence program, Lumens will offer a gallery experience that is constantly evolving to meet the moment, with new design inspirations for our clients each time they visit,” Gers said. “We are excited to learn from their creativity, innovative ideas and deep bench of design experience, and to share this with our discerning customers, who look to Lumens as a destination for discovery and inspiration.”

The Lumens gallery will feature lighting brands such as Vitra, Flos, Moooi, Louis Poulsen, Nanimarquina, Hollis & Morris, Glas Italia, Audo Copenhagen, Rosie Li and BD Barcelona.
