Ruggable is launching its first Ruggable & Friends collection, and they are partnering with , the New York Times bestselling cookbook author and cult internet personality behind @GrossyPelosi.

Dan Pelosi

According to Ruggable, the collection brings Pelosi’s warm, maximalist world directly to the floor: “Think upstate New York farmhouse, Italian-American comfort food, an unapologetic love of color – the kind of home that makes you feel like you just got invited to a very good dinner party.”

Co-created with Ruggable’s in-house design team and shot on location at Pelosi’s home in the Hudson Valley, the collection features 13 new designs spanning full-on insider nods to his Grossy community and pieces with broad appeal.

“One of them is a pasta-shaped rug called Rugatoni that is genuinely going to make people stop and stare,” said a company spokesperson.

Vista collection

The Vista collection, a mid-century modern-inspired range of nine rug designs by Creative Matters in collaboration with Reddie Furniture, launched this week. has showrooms in both London and Sydney, Australia.

Local Ghazni wool is used to weave the rugs. Photo courtesy of Creative Matters.

Woven by hand by artisans in Afghanistan, this collection facilitates work and social interactions for Afghan women either in small community weaving centers or in the weavers’ own homes and provides these women with the opportunity to make a living. Many of them are the sole breadwinners in their families.

Using local Ghazni wool from mountainous sheep, in 45×45 Persian knots, these rugs (size options: 8′ x 10′, 9′ x 12′, 10′ x 14′, and 12′ x 15′ or custom-sized) provide a juxtaposition between the modern, cityscape-inspired designs and the more rustic texture that the wool and ancient knot technique provide.

Available exclusively through new design destination showroom Reddie Furniture, each of the nine designs (Promenade, Plaza, Skyline, Horizon, Boulevard, Acreage, Summit, Avenue and High Street) can be customized to suit specific colors and sizes.

Each of the designs expertly layers geometric blocks of color, clean borders and subtle patterns rendered in a charmingly textured wool and immaculately hand-knotted by experienced artisans.

Founded in 1988 in Toronto, Creative Matters has been designing hand-knotted rug collections and bespoke, fair-trade floor coverings for clients in more than 40 countries.

Three of the rugs donated to Los Angeles Schools by Rugs.com

The rug company teamed up with Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, a non-profit organization that manages a network of 20 high-need public schools across Boyle Heights, Watts and South Los Angeles, and IMC Logistics, the leading marine drayage operator in North America, which donated delivery to every school.

Created in 2023, the “Paying it Floorward” initiative transforms classrooms across America into more comfortable, inviting and vibrant learning environments. A classroom rug is often where stories are read, group discussions begin, friendships form and confidence takes root. Rugs.com created the program to give teachers a foundational resource for the spaces where so much learning and community-building happen.

“Teachers are the backbone of our communities, and we wanted to do something tangible to show our gratitude,” said Andrew Haltom of Rugs.com. “By teaming up with Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, we were able to reach 20 schools that serve incredible students and faculty. Delivering these 550 rugs during Teacher Appreciation Week was our way of saying ‘thank you’ for the tireless work educators do every day and encouraging others to give back to their community.”

The rug deliveries took place throughout the first full week of May.
