The new summer rugs from Rug’Society have been designed to capture the coastal and breezy feel of the season, according to the company.

Rug’Society is a Portuguese brand of handcrafted and bespoke carpets and rugs that aims to transform rugs into pieces of . The company’s starting point for every design is a strong connotation to eclectic style and its goal is to transmit emotions, while keeping up with the latest trends.

Classic yet contemporary, the new designs are inspired by the blend of summer beauty and timeless tradition.

Lucy Rug

The Lucy rug is an area rug that completes the classic look and fills the space with unique lines and unmistakable shapes, transforming the room into a colorful landscape.

Heron II

The hand-tufted Heron II rug is made of botanical silk and was inspired by the elegance and grace of the same-named animal, and it aids us in exploring our spiritual lives. With the new design, the beauty and grace of this animal makes it stand out in any hallway.

Merfilus

Inspired by the soft water waves, Merfilus is s a rug designed with a strong connection with the water element to give a calm vision to any interior. Merfilus is handmade with botanical silk and natural wood and not only brings tranquility with its pattern but also color.

Neptuno

Inspired in the Roman god of the sea and freshwater, the Neptuno rug brings peace and tranquility into your home while also representing the sea’s strength with its nautical motifs. The 100% handmade rug is made of New Zealand wool and botanical silk.

Poseidon

Inspired by Poseidon, the god of the seas and the creator of the majestic horse Pegasus, this rug embodies the strength and beauty of ancient mythology. The rug melds mythological standards with contemporary artistry, featuring a mix of shapes and patterns in captivating shades that echo the depths and mysteries of ancient Greece.

During the recent Milano Design Week, presented several new outdoor rugs from its new high-tech collection. The designer’s namesake company is famous for its outdoor and exuberant color schemes.

The company said its new rugs are one-of-a-kind pieces that are created through the free and manual act of stitching allowing the rugs to evoke the familiar feeling of something already lived.

With irregular edges, playful textile effects, visible seams and basting stitches the rugs contain ornamental patterns which create a different look each time.

Ayla, Kilis, Wadi and Asira are mats in natural tones with a texture reminiscent of straw. Their geometric designs include multicolored lines, knots and lozenges that are applied by hand and recall the symbols of the Mediterranean tradition.

Designed with care for the environment, the rugs are not treated with harmful chemicals, are durable and easy to maintain, according to the company.

The new rugs speak a contemporary language and reflect the brand’s strong inclination toward experimentation.

Luxury flooring company Stanton has partnered with Kravet on an exclusive licensed carpet collection, called Kravet x Stanton.

With 91 SKUs, the collection showcases Kravet’s textile design legacy and Stanton’s expertise in carpeting and includes transitional geometrics and organic textures for wall-to-wall installations, custom fabricated rugs and stair runners. They will be available at Kravet x Stanton retailers, which will be listed on Stanton’s website when the collection launches next month.

“Our exclusively designed, limited-distribution Kravet x Stanton collection sets a new standard in color and design,” said , CEO of Stanton. “We’re excited to support our showroom partners by driving new trade business and look forward to the collection’s debut this July.”

“This collaboration represents a perfect synergy between two heritage brands committed to design excellence and quality,” added Cary Kravet, CEO of Kravet LLC.

Stanton has developed modular displays to support the launch, which will feature large-format 2′ x 2′ samples for each SKU and a 9” x 9” sample takeaway cabinet.  – Andrea Lillo
