Lighting showroom consultant Candace Breaux doesn’t know a thing about soccer, and at first, she thought the call from Dallas Market Center was a scam.

But the call, telling Breaux that she had won a World Cup Hospitality Experience, was legitimate, and Breaux and one of her colleagues at Louisiana-based Coburn’s Kitchen & Bath Showroom are headed to the World Cup game between Argentina and Jordan in Arlington, Texas, in June.
The exclusive prize, part of Dallas Market Center‘s incentive program designed to draw attendees to the June Lightovation show and alleviate concerns about the show’s overlap with the soccer matches, includes elevated sideline seating, premium food and beverages, pre- and post-match entertainment, special guest appearances and commemorative gifts.
Qualified attendees who book June 2026 accommodation in official Lightovation show hotel blocks by March 1, 2026, are eligible to win, including those who have already secured their reservations.
“I’m still somewhat in shock,” Breaux told Home Accents Today. “I’ve never won anything like this.”
This will be Breaux’s first time at the lighting show. She has worked for Coburn’s for 13 years, first in an administrative role and for the last five years in the showroom in Houma, La. She has started to travel for the company, which operates 25 showrooms across Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee, and is learning more details and features of the lighting it sells. The Lightovation trip in June will give her a chance to learn about different product lines, she said — “and I’m getting entertainment.”
The prize includes two tickets to the event, so Breaux approached showroom advisor Jennifer Light, “a big-time soccer fan,” to see if Light would be interested in going with her. Breaux said she had to hold her phone away from her ear when Light responded to the news. “She is so thrilled,” said Breaux.
The trade show visit and the tickets to the game may just be icing on the cake for Breaux, who said she loves working for the family-owned Coburn’s, which has been in business for 91 years. “It’s a great company to work for,” she said. “You’re working with family.”
